As a FoodSpot-Cantaloupe operator, you rely on two connections:
Fridge connectivity - this allows you to manage all the activity of your fridge from the Dashboard.
Cantaloupe connectivity - this allows your microstore to accept payments and unlock.
If you occasionally see the following error message, your Cantaloupe connection may be weak, and there are steps to take to improve it. To check your Cantaloupe connection, please follow the steps below:
Open the control box located on the back of your microstore. Locate the Cantaloupe telemeter and take a photo of your telemeter so you have a record of your Cantaloupe serial number:
βPress the RSSI button:
βWalk to the front of your fridge. You should see the following on your credit card reader: CSQ: ##,##. the first two-digit number ranges from 00-30 and represents signal strength. Anything over 15 is good. The second two-digit number represents signal interference. Anything below 02 is acceptable.
If the signal strength is low, consider moving the fridge to a location with better service.
If the signal interference is high, consider moving the fridge to a location with fewer large metal objects, but make sure the signal strength is also sufficient in that location.
You may also purchase a high-gain antenna to improve the connection.
