The microstore is not unlocking
What to do if the fridge is not unlocking after swiping a credit card or scanning the QR code.
The locking mechanism of your smart fridge can become misaligned in shipping or from tugging on the door handle. When this happens, you may experience the following errors.
Errors you may see

Customers: after tapping a payment method, the screen is stuck on "Wait for the door to unlock" after swiping

Operator: after scanning the QR code with your digital key, you see "Request has been received, please wait," but the door does not unlock.

(If your reader says "Reader disabled," or if your digital key says "Chiller locked," your fridge is in lockdown mode and you should see this article.)

Steps
- Check that the lock has power. With the fridge plugged in, confirm if there is a red light iluminated by the lock. If there is no light, do not move onto step 2 and, instead, move on to the next section, "Checking electrical connections"

- Check if the lock is seated correctly. With the physical key, unlock the door. If there is resistance or requires wiggling of the key, the lock is not seated correctly. If you can unlock smoothly, move on to the next step.
- To reseat the lock, remove the front panel of the fridge by releasing the top and front screws. Pull the panel up and out toward you

- Make sure the lock is secured well by holding the bolts on top while tightening the screws from the bottom:

- Release the deadbolt with the physical key and close the door. Make sure the deadbolt is aligned with the strike hole.
- Close the door and swipe a credit card. The lock should disengage a few seconds after the unlock screen appears. If it does not, move on to the next step.

- To reseat the lock, remove the front panel of the fridge by releasing the top and front screws. Pull the panel up and out toward you
- Check if the door is sagging. Open the door with the physical key. Pull up on the door. If it moves up, the hinge bolts are loose and need to be tightened.

- Close the door and swipe a credit card. The lock should disengage smoothly after the unlock screen appears. If it does not, move on to the next section
Checking the lock connections
Sometimes the connections from the lock to the control box come loose.

Unplug the fridge

There are 5 wires from the lock that connect to four wires feeding into the control box of the fridge via 4 Wago nuts (see diagram below). Ensure each of these connections is secure.


- Plug in the fridge
- The reader will begin booting up. Exit the diagnostic screen and let it finish booting up.

- When you see the payment screen, tap a credit card or use Apple/Google Pay. The door should unlock a few seconds after the unlock screen appears. If the lock does not disengage, submit a ticket.
