What To Do When You Receive Offline Notifications
What do I do when I receive notifications that the microstore has been offline, out of temperature, or disconnected
Our fridges were designed with food safety in mind. If your microstore goes offline for more than 10 minutes, you will receive a notification:
eg. fridge/1 at [108] just turned offline at [Fri Sep 29th 2023 05:13 (-05:00)].
This is often due to lapses in cellular coverage and are not a major issue. When you get a notification saying your fridge turned offline, below is a good protocol to follow.
Note: If your microstore goes offline consistently, submit a ticket.
-
Click (ONLINE/OFFLINE) to check the fridge’s online status. A pop-up appears with the following connectivity information:
-
Check for long downtime periods. If there are no long periods, your products are most likely okay. If there are long periods of downtime (greater than 10 minutes), proceed to the next step.
-
Exit to the main screen:
-
Click on the temperature of the fridge of interest:
-
On the pop-up graph, check if your fridge persisted at an unsafe temperature for a prolonged period of time. In the following case, there is no prolonged period of unsafe temperature, so your products are safe. If there are prolonged periods in a dangerous temperature range for you products, proceed to the next step.
-
Return to the main screen and lock the fridge of interest by clicking the red "Lock" button:
-
Remove perishable items from your fridge for disposal.
-
Close the fridge door.
IMPORTANT: Let the temperature lower to your temperature setting before unlocking the fridge for selling in the Dashboard, or it will unlock again
