Reader Disabled / Chiller Locked
My credit card reader is disabled, and I cannot open my fridge.
Your fridge will lock down automatically if it breaches the temperature limit or is offline for more than 10 minutes. This will prevent your customers from making purchases or delivery people from stocking:
What you might see
Apriva-Castles Card reader:
The QR code will be blocked by a "Reader Disabled" banner. If the FoodSpot branding is not visible, the entire fridge is offline and you need to follow these instructions.
Cantaloupe card reader
The reader will still show the "Swipe to Unlock, Grab Your Food, Enjoy Your Day" messaging. But it will not open to credit cards, and when you try to scan the QR code, you'll get the following "Chiller locked" error message.

Solution
You need to unlock the fridge from the dashboard to check products and begin selling again. To do so, follow the directions below:
-
From the main navigation, click on Microstore Status
-
You will see a list of all your microstores. The locked unit displays the Unlock button in the right-most column. (If you do not see a locked unit, move on to the next section.)
-
Check the temperature log by clicking on the current temperature.
-
Determine the amount of time the food was out of temp.
-
Based on your judgment and product mix, if the food is still safe to eat, click the Unlock button for you and your customers to gain access to the fridge again. If they are spoiled, only click unlock when you are ready to go to the fridge and rotate the products.
If fridge is Unlocked (button says "Lock")
